Nexgen Target Control System

Jan. 18, 2011

Savage Range Systems' Nexgen Target Control System brings performance and operation to pneumatic and Running Man systems. Advances include remarkable programming capability, multiple course of fire functionality, ease of use, remote capability and off-the-shelf maintenance. Running Man and turning targets can be set to run simultaneously. Running Man carriers can be programmed to automatically run with multiple changes in direction and speed, and can be coordinated/linked with each other or run completely independently. The controllers are DC regenerative drives, which enable faster reversing and deceleration than standard drives.

The system communicates between the range tower and the target line via an Ethernet cable. This is completely stand alone, and not hooked up to the internet. An optional handheld transmitter is integrated into the Operator Station screens for portable remote control of programs. With a range of 350 yards from the antenna, the user can select and change exercises without returning to the main console.
